Pollstre
Need a straight answer out of a group of people?
Write your questions, send one link, read the answers with names attached. There is no account to
make, nothing to install, and no cookie banner to click away. Making a poll takes about as long
as typing the question.
Free. No sign-up, no e-mail address, no app. What it stores.
Still arguing in the group chat?
Twenty replies, four opinions, two people who have not read any of it, and no decision. The
thread is the worst possible place to count anything.
Send one link instead. Everyone taps their choice, and what comes back is a list rather than
an argument.
Up to ten questions, up to ten options each, single choice or pick as many as you like.
Sometimes there are no options to tick
"Which date suits you" has options. "What should we do differently next time" does not, and
forcing it into a multiple choice loses the one answer you actually needed.
A survey asks the question and leaves a box. People write what they think, you read it next
to their name, or make the survey anonymous and read it without one. Ask for one to five
stars or a score out of ten where a number says it better, and mix in a choice question
where one fits.
Up to ten questions, open, rated or multiple choice, the averages worked out, a
ready-written e-mail to send with the link, and the results as an Excel file.
Every other poll wants an account first
Most tools ask you to sign up, confirm an e-mail and agree to something before you can ask a
single question, then ask the same of everyone answering.
Pollstre asks for none of it. You press Create and the poll or survey exists. Two links come
back: one you keep and one you share.
No cookies at all, no analytics, no third-party scripts, and the fonts come from here rather
than from anyone else.
Who still has not answered?
A bare tally tells you fourteen people voted. It does not tell you which three you are still
waiting on, which is usually the thing you actually need.
Everyone writes their name before answering, so the results page shows you who said what and
when they said it. Download it as a spreadsheet when you need it elsewhere.
Answers keep a copy of the wording as it stood, so editing a question later cannot rewrite
what somebody already said.
Three steps, no sign-up
-
1
Press Create
Poll or survey, give it a title and write your questions. Choose single choice, multiple
choice, an open answer, stars or a score per question and drag them into the order you
want.
-
2
Share one link
The answer link goes to whoever you are asking, by chat or with the e-mail Pollstre has
already written for you. They write their name, answer, and are done. Nothing to
install.
-
3
Read the answers
Your own link opens the results, every answer next to the name of whoever gave it. Keep
that link: it is the only key to the poll.
Ask the question and be done with it
A poll or a survey takes a minute to make and little to answer. Anyone holding the create link
can edit it and read the results, so keep it to yourself, and read
what Pollstre stores before putting anything sensitive in one.
